Quiz Builder
Create great looking quizzes easier than before with Quiz Builder Version 1!

Quiz Builder enables you to create educational quizzes in Flash format that can be used on a website, as standalone EXE file or Word document. Quiz Builder provides an easy-to-use interface to design the quiz and does not require any Flash or programming knowledge. You can customize several aspects of the quiz appearance, add images to decorate the questions and preview the quiz at any time.

Quiz Builder supports score reporting (AICC, SCORM 1.2 and 2004) as well as posting to server scripts, user logins and more.

Add questions and answers
Easily create your first quiz in minutes. Making quizzes with Quiz Builder is a simple matter of typing in questions, pressing the Enter key, and then typing in answers. There's nothing easier than that! With Quiz Builder, you can create an unlimited number of quizzes using:

Multiple Choice - True/False
Gives the end-user a two possible answers to choose from: either true or false. Only one answer can be correct.

Multiple Choice - Single Answer
Gives the end-user a list of possible answers to choose from, but unlike Multiple Choice - Multiple Answer questions, only one answer can be correct.

Multiple Choice - Multiple Answer
Gives the end-user a list of possible answers to choose from, but unlike Multiple Choice - Single Answer questions, more than one answer can be correct.

Multiple Choice - Word Bank
Gives the end-user a list of words (answers) to choose from.

Drag and Drop - Match
Asks the end-user to drag a matching word over the correct choice and drop it.

Drag and Drop - Order
Gives the end-user a two possible answers to choose from: either true or false. Only one answer can be correct.

Short Answer - Fill In The Blank
Asks the end-user to complete the missing part of a statement.

Click Map
Asks the end-user to complete the missing part of a statement.

Edit question properties
You aren't stuck with just one question format! Quiz Builder let's you change question types on the fly, assign points, randomly shuffle the answers, add pictures, limit the number of tries to get the answer right, AND customize feedback!

Points
Because each one of your quizzes will display the end-user's grade at the end, Quiz Builder lets you assign each question a point value - any point value that you want!

Shuffle
You never need to worry about end-users memorizing the locations of your quiz's answers because you can present the answers of each question in a random order.

Image
With Quiz Builder's ability to display graphics, you can take your quiz-making to a whole new level and show a picture with each question. You can load images from your hard drive or take a screenshots of an image right from within Quiz Builder!

Feedback
Encourage your end-users with your own unique messages. With Quiz Builder, you can respond to an end-user's answer selection without having to be in the room! Simply type in what you'd like to say when the end-user selects both right and wrong answers.

Edit Quiz Properties
Adjust the properties of your exported quizzes and identify them with title and ID information, restrict access, design their introductory screens, specify how they'll run and report results, and determine what happens when an end-user completes them.

General
Give your quiz a unique title and ID number so that it can be readily identified among a large number of quizzes. Set a passing grade and if you want to make a quiz timed, you can have your exported quiz stop when its time limit has expired.

Login
Prompt end users for a username or id number and a password to restrict access to your exported quizzes. If you need your end users to log in on the internet, tell Quiz Builder the URL of the login page and Quiz Builder will send the appropriate parameters to your server script (php, asp.etc.).

Introduction
Design an introductory screen for your exported quiz. Introduce your quiz with instructions. To show a picture along with your instructions, load an image from your hard drive or take a screenshot of an image on your screen.

Questions
Specify the way your quizzes will run. For example, you can have your quiz ask all of its questions at one time, ask one AT a time - or just ask some of them! You can even randomize the order of your questions and offer end users 15 minute breaks.

Reporting
Specify the way your quiz will report its results. Quiz Builder supports AICC and SCORM reporting. If you want your exported quiz to send its results to a specific URL, you can point Quiz Builder to your own Server Script (php, asp, perl, etc).

Finish
Determine what happens when an end-user completes your quiz. With Quiz Builder, your quiz can load a Flash SWF file, load a webpage on the Internet, run an executable program, or just close if you want it to.

Output
Adjust the format of your quizzes. You can export your quiz to a Flash (SWF) file, standalone Windows executable file, or Word document file. You can even have Quiz Builder save your quizzes to disk or upload to the Internet via FTP

Customize the layout of your quizzes
By customizing a quiz, you can modify the way the final product looks to the end-user. Change your quiz's general appearance, fonts, style, behavior and hover color, bar information, and/or results. Looking for a quick fix? Quiz Builder comes with preset customizations that you can apply to an exported quiz at the click of a button.

Layout
Use Quiz Builder to adjust the width and height of your quiz, change the appearance of a quiz's background, or add a border around the window of your quiz if you want to. Changes take effect immediately and you can see them in the Preview Window.

Fonts
Change the font size, color, and style for each particular section of your exported quiz.

Styles
Apply a Classic, Windows 2000, or Windows XP style to single or multiple answers.

Effects
Have Quiz builder animate the effects of an answer selection and/or tell Quiz Builder to change the background color of an answer whenever an end-user places the mouse over it.

Bar
Set the border color of your quiz's title bar, add a drop shadow, and place specific items on it like number style, question points, cumulative score, and information about the quiz itself. If you want, you can even have your quiz play audio sound effects!

TOC
Your quiz can display a table of contents too, if you like - with correct/incorrect icons and/or question point values. You can also add colors and a drop shadow effect as well

Finish
Customize the results that are shown when a quiz is completed. For example, you can type a message that you want to display upon a passing grade and a failing grade. You can allow the end-user to review a quiz, send quiz results via email, or even print the results of a quiz (and the end-users's ID).

Report score and interactions
With Quiz Builder, you can specify the way your exported quiz will report its results:
SCORM 1.2 or 2004 / AICC compilant
You can have your quiz report results to a LMS (learning management system) using the AICC/SCORM method. For SCORM, your quiz can show appropriate title, course, subject, and description information - You can give your quiz a relevant SCO identifier, title, and Master Score information - And you can tell Quiz Builder which version of SCORM that your quiz is compatible with.

Report score and interactions to Server Script
You can alternatively have your quiz report results to a Server Script (php. asp..e.t.c) and report score and/or interactions to a server script.

Export your quizzes
You can export your quiz to a Flash file(SWF), standalone Windows executable file(EXE) or Word document file(DOC).
If you want to export your quizzes as Word Document files, Quiz Builder will ask you to identify who your quiz is for (Teacher or Student) and then create it with a Question Help Column if you like !

Tell Quiz Builder what it should do with your exported file. Save it to disk? Upload it to an FTP server? Quiz Builder can handle it all !
