» Sony A910 Video Walkman with Live TV Recording

Sony has recently rolled out a new video walkman in Japan called the Sony A910 series that is available with up to 16GB of flash based storage. Capacities will include 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB with all other features of the players being the same.

Audio files supported include MP3, WMA, ATRAC, and AAC. Video formats supported are MPEG-4 and H.264. Sony included a built-in FM tuner, a line-in recorder, a built-in antenna for watching and recording live TV, and a noise-cancellation feature. Battery life is a claimed 36 hours for audio, 10 hours for video and 6 hours for watching TV. Dimensions are 86.8mm x 48mm x 12.3mm and the A910 is available in black or silver. There are now several 16GB flash based PMP devices available including the iPod Touch and Sansa View.

Pricing will be as follows: 4GB for 30,000 Yen ($262US), 8GB for 35,000 Yen ($305US), and the 16GB for 45,000 Yen ($393US).
